The School of Education at the University of Colorado Boulder seeks applicants for a Tenure-Track Faculty position in Research & Evaluation Methodology (REM) beginning in Fall 2022. What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

We are searching for a colleague with deep knowledge of quantitative research methods and statistics in education and the application of these methods in educational policy. Requirements for this position include an earned doctorate and depth and breadth of expertise in statistical methods. This colleague will join our internationally recognized faculty whose commitments to equity and social justice are reflected in our contributions to research, policy, and practice. 

Qualified applicants will have an active program of research, a strong publication record, and documented success in obtaining external funding. Their work will demonstrate a thoughtful and compelling progression of scholarship using applied statistics in education. We seek applicants whose work addresses educational inequities in areas including (but not limited to) race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, culture, gender, and/or sexuality. We welcome applicants with substantive knowledge in a wide range of areas in public education and educational policy including early childhood, K-12, or higher education. We also welcome applicants whose primary contributions to scholarship in education and educational policy are methodological in nature.

This position requires evidence of strong teaching and mentoring. Qualified applicants must be prepared to teach graduate courses in quantitative methods including introductory statistics, applied regression, experimental/quasi-experimental design and research methods, and multilevel modeling, among other quantitative methods courses. Further, they will be expected to contribute to the REM doctoral program and mentor doctoral students. Like all CU School of Education faculty, they will be expected to engage in outreach and leadership to the school, campus, local, and larger communities.

What We Can Offer 

The salary range for this position will be $75,000.00 – $90,000.00 annually.

What We Require

  • Earned Ph.D.
  • Program of research in quantitative methods in education/quantitative research in educational policy.
  • Expertise in statistical methods including experimental/quasi-experimental design and research methods.
  • Strong evidence of teaching and mentoring at the graduate level.

  • Evidence of success in obtaining external funding to support educational research.
