Tulane University’s Department of Economics, Education Research Alliance for

New Orleans, and National Center for Research on Education Access and

Choice (REACH) invite applications for a postdoctoral Research Fellow in

Economics of Education to begin a two-year appointment in fall 2022. In

partnership with Tulane’s Murphy Institute of Political Economy, we invite

applications from candidates who will receive a Ph.D. in economics by that time.

In addition to conducting and publishing original research about local and

national education policy using our extensive data systems, the Fellow will teach

one course at the undergraduate economics level annually and participate in

seminars and other activities in the Economics Department and Murphy

Institute.

One-third of the Fellow’s time will focus on studies co-authored with team

members involving education policy; one-third is available for research of the

candidate’s choosing. The remaining third will involve teaching or researchrelated

activities as requested.

Interviews will begin in January, and applications will be accepted now through

February 28, 2022.

Qualifications

Ph.D. in Economics or Public Policy (by fall 2022) and demonstrated interest in

policies related to K-12 education.

Application Instructions

To be considered, applicants must submit curriculum vita, 3 reference letters,

and a research paper through Interfolio.
