The Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis, at the University of Missouri is pleased to announce an assistant level teaching professor (non-tenure-track) in the field of higher education. We seek a colleague who can help us expand our commitment to postsecondary education, with a specific focus on higher education and student affairs leadership. This position offers opportunities to contribute to the programs in higher education (MEd, PhD, and Graduate Certificates) as well as the Doctorate in Educational Leadership (EdD) and Bachelor of Educational Studies (BES) programs.
Primary responsibilities include contributing to the higher education program; coordination of the department’s EdD and BES programs; developing and teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in higher education (online); mentoring and advising students in the higher education programs; serving on dissertation committees; participating in faculty governance with the Department, College, and University; and providing service, outreach, and leadership to the University, educational institutions, agencies, and professional organizations.
Minimum Qualifications
Qualifications include an earned doctorate in higher education or a related field by time of appointment.
Candidates will be evaluated on the following factors:
- Experience (or potential to be successful) coordinating academic programs;
- Experience (or potential to be successful) teaching, advising, and mentoring undergraduate students in the Bachelor of Educational Studies program;
- Experience (or potential to be successful) teaching, advising, and mentoring graduate students in the Higher Education Master’s program and Graduate Certificate in Higher Education Administration; and
- Experience (or potential to be successful) working collegially with individuals from diverse backgrounds and contributing to inclusion, diversity, and equity initiatives within the Department and University.
