To promote the safety and well-being of our members, AEFP will require all attendees, exhibitors, and staff to be fully vaccinated (as defined by CDC guidelines) for COVID-19 before participating in the in-person conference. Again, all attendees are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (with case-by-case determinations for medical exemptions). Those who qualify for a medical or religious exemption will be required to submit a negative COVID-19 test no more than 24 hours before the start of their attendance at the event.

AEFP 2022 will be using Health Pass by CLEAR, which provides a secure, digital proof of COVID-related health insights via the free CLEAR mobile app. Before the conference, attendees will receive instructions on how to complete the vaccine verification process. View the AEFP 2022 CLEAR Vaccine Verification Guide for more details and step-by-step instructions.

Participants will ONLY receive a name badge or entry to the conference after completing the CLEAR vaccine verification process.

Although not formally required, we strongly encourage ALL attendees to take a rapid test no more than 24 hours before the start of the conference. If you test positive, please DO NOT attend the conference but do contact AEFP staff. We also encourage you to bring rapid tests to the conference to test every day. In addition, all attendees, exhibitors, and staff will also be required to wear face masks (above the nose and below the chin) in all public conference spaces, except when eating or drinking.

Further, all attendees and exhibitors will be asked to agree to the following COVID-19 policies and guidelines at the point of registration:

By registering for this conference, I agree to comply with and adhere to the AEFP COVID-19 policies and all related federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and guidance regarding COVID-19, and any other protocols that may be implemented by AEFP at the conference venue.

I acknowledge that AEFP cannot guarantee that attendees will not be exposed to or contract COVID-19 while attending the conference. By attending the conference, people may be exposed to and/or increase their risk of contracting or spreading COVID-19.

I understand that AEFP will closely monitor conditions related to COVID-19 between now and the start of the conference and that AEFP reserves the right to modify its COVID-19 related procedures and health screening protocols at any time. Registrants will be informed of any such changes on an ongoing basis. To attend and participate in the in-person AEFP conference, I agree to follow the protocols as required by AEFP and/or the conference venue. Refusal to abide by AEFP’s COVID-19 related procedures may result in removal from the conference and cancellation of registration, without refund.
